The crypto community needs more engaging content

Cryptocurrencies are a fascinating world filled with new and innovative technology. But to succeed, cryptocurrency content marketing requires a more engaging and thoughtful approach.

Why are people afraid of crypto?

The first question to consider for blockchain industry content is: Why are large swaths of the population afraid of cryptocurrencies? For many, crypto conjures up feelings of confusion, or even hatred (I’m looking at you Jamie Dimon). 

This makes digital asset content marketing even more important. There is so much misinformation and outright false narratives out there that make understanding the industry difficult for newcomers. But by delivering crypto content writing and marketing that speaks to the public, we can combat these issues and demystify this technology once and for all.

Use storytelling

Storytelling is one of the best cryptocurrency content strategies. When potential customers or users can see themselves within a story, they are more likely to understand why the product being offered is of value. Coinbase does a great job of this, especially in this campaign which hits home for many Millennials looking to end their cycle of debt.

Analogies anyone?

Most people will have trouble understanding cryptocurrencies without context. This is where using analogies in crypto content writing can help. Comparing new cryptocurrencies and their benefits with already existing products, or with the problem they’re solving can bring home the added value of new blockchain projects. 

Check humor at the door

Historically, humor has been used to capture audience attention and reel them into learning more about cryptocurrencies. But it appears that this approach may be doing more harm than good. Especially when you consider that humor campaigns run by the likes of FTX are much less funny when people lose their digital assets.

Blockchain content marketing can do better than cheap shot humor for attention grabbing. Because if we want to be taken seriously, we need to act like it.
